After spending years of wandering around photography shows such as Focus , SWPP and the Photography Show Nec, I admired organisations like the BIPP at a distance. I never thought that I was good enough to be a member. It is an organisation that recognises a benchmark of excellence with Photography. Within a few weeks of joining I took a deep breath and went out of my comfort zone and tried to gain the first tier of qualifications. Thankfully my hard work paid off and I gained my Licentiateship. Part of the process was to produce a book of information about me. This was a task I did not take lightly. It gave me an opportunity to really look at myself and my work. I have been a family and baby photographer in Cheltenham and London for about 10 years and have hundreds of happy clients. Many of which come back year after year for more of my soulful portraits. However, there is always room for improvement and I don’t wan’t to become complacent! That is why being a member of the BIPP will help me to improve my skills and share my knowledge.
Here are a few spreads from my supporting evidence ( book). I really enjoying designing the layout and the look to fit in with my brand. I believe I am a natural story teller. Which shows in my family photography and in my book design. I think its really important to tell the your personal story through my lens and therefore many of my clients like to present their photos in one of my books. You can have a peek here to see more examples of my books.
I always find it hard to choose which photos to submit as my choice might not be the best. Here are some of my favourites from my portfolio review. So if you are interested in making your own family story of photos and would like to know more about my work then please drop me a line here. Happy to chat and find out more about you and your story.
