I am so happy when clients get to see me when they have a newborn baby for their newborn photography session. These first few weeks are so precious and can whizz by far too quickly. As a baby photographer in Cheltenham and Gloucestershire I love to capture the delicate sleepiness of the first few weeks of life. The little folds in their skin, their milky expressions and their crinkley feet! Rory was a delight to photograph and I am looking forward to capturing the next stage. It will come round quicker than you think. Here are some of my favourites from this shoot.

It’s amazing how much fun you can have in your own home. Jake was at that stage where the washing machine, remote control and the cat offers hours of entertainment. I love the shot where he sees the cat and realises its in easy reach. I spotted the beautiful chair in the corner of the bedroom and thought as it is Jubilee year it seemed appropriate. He looks like a little prince. As a family and baby portrait photographer there are moments that just happen that my heart says “yes” as I click the shutter. Nothing posed just a beautiful natural shot. this first image was won of those moments. Looking forward to our next session already.

It is always a pleasure to have returning customers especially when I have been apart of their wedding day too. It feels like being part of their growing family. I was therefore delighted to photograph Elizabella’s christening in Charlton King’s Cheltenham and then for a reception at Monty’s Brasserie. Elizabella held court throughout the service and in fact I caught her several times looking fondly at the vicar, despite the cold water experience! She was happy to be passed around like pass the parcel interacting with everyone. Looking forward to our next session and capturing that cheekiness which I know is within!

Well, I wasn’t expecting to see this family quite so soon but am very glad that I did. Both grandma and great grandma were visiting the family for Easter……..all the way from Washington DC. It seemed like a good idea to get some more photos done to capture the four generations together. The women in the family are definately blessed with good genes. It was a rare opportunity to get all generations together and I felt honoured to be part of it. We had new dresses and shoes for the occasion and couldn’t resist a bit more jumping on the bed. Here are some of my favourites.

I had a lovely photo session with Isabelle and James which started off at my house and then we had a trip to the park. James had just woken up and I managed to get those lovely dreamy shots when they still need to be cuddled for a while before they are officially awake and ready for buisness! Isabelle on the other hand didn’t need waking up happy to chat about everything and clearly adored her brother. I love the kissing shot. Looking forward to meeting the pets at home……especially the pony. Here are a few of my favourite shots.

Oh to look this beautiful when you are just about to give birth. I am so delighted with these photos. It was a treat to work with Millie as he was just glowing and gorgeous. I never looked like this when I was pregnant. I am so pleased we managed to capture the beauty of being pregnant. I am so looking forward to the next stage!!

I was asked to photograph James and Olly’s christening very lastminute dot com. Fortunately I was available and understood that something sometimes are just lastminute. I tend to work a bit like that too! It was a lovely christening with family coming from abroad , up north and the local lot! The lovely thing about christening is that children are very much welcome and enjoy a bit of audience participation. I love the shot of the little boy in the middle of the aisle trying to up stage the vicar. The boys were very good at having the holy water poured over their heads and there was lots of empathy from the adults. Everyone enjoyed a celebration afterwards at the Exmouth arms. I love the shots of James thinking about tasting the cake but being warned not to. Then a second later the deed was done! As a child photographer I am always anticipating whats going on in their heads. I am in process of putting your book together and enjoying every moment. Here are a few of my favourites.

Four years ago I photographed Kathryn and her two children. With the arrival of baby Gabriella it was time to capture them again as the family had expanded. It was extra exciting as they were sent brand new clothes especially for the photo shoot, carefully picked by Grandma . After trying to sit pretty for a couple of shots I had to let the kids be themselves. Alexandra couldn’t resist a swirl in her beautiful dress and then Jackson enjoyed the jumping on the bed. I love the shots of each of them enjoying a hug with mum. As I love baby photography I really enjoy the shots of baby Gabriella.Looking foward to meeting the rest of the family. This was the second time that I have been to photograph these lovely boys. This time we started off in Pittville Park as it is a regular haunt of theirs. Unfortunately, there wasn’t the snow that we had been hoping for but some rather large splashing puddles instead. After a climbing trees and splashing in puddles we headed back to the warmth of home where the boys enjoyed playing on mum and dad’s bed and making tea on the landing. I have one of the best jobs in the world as a family portrait photographer in Cheltenham as I can share all these little moments. Here are some of my favourites.x
