80th Birthday

I went to the very lovely Calcot Manor in Tetbury to photograph Mamgu’s 80th celebration. Blessed again with the weather. A wonderful (rare) occasion when all the get together. There were of all ages. I had fun with the little ones in the gardens and had to steer them away from the cupcakes until the appropriate moment! I spotted some very gorgeous girls that I couldn’t resist photographing together and making them look like catwalk models (with Bryn). I love events like these as everyone has such a great time and they end up saying ” we should do this more often”.Its the same in my family.

Grace’s First Birthday

Where does the time go? A year already! I was asked to take some photos of Grace’s . Just a few friends round for a a small BBQ ( weather permitting). Well just a few turned out to be about 70! Fortunately the weather was lovely and there was an array of ,bouncy castle, bunting, jelly and ice cream and champagne…of course. The cake was amazing and disappeared too quickly. Hours to make and seconds to devour. Grace was obviously having a fabulous time.

October 19, 2010 - 8:28 pm Helen Tomlinson - I chose Laura quite randomly from the phone book. Serendipity is the word I have in my head as I type this right now. Grace was two and a half weeks old and I knew I wanted some new-born photographs of her so that I could look back and remember just how scrumptiously beautiful she really was (and still is of course!). The name “Baby Prints” seemed appropriate so I rang her and we arranged our first session. But what I expected was not what I got with Laura. She didn’t just “take photos”. She did something so much more special – she spent time getting to know both me and Gracie (at a time when I was getting to know Gracie myself!!). She immortalised some of the most precious moments of my life. When I first saw those initial photographs I cried. They were so beautiful and so emotional. Some were just plain funny!!! And the rest is history ... Laura has continued to take photos of Gracie throughout her first year - her first Christmas; one of her first baths; her first (but I suspect not her last!!!) tantrum; came to her first Birthday party and shortly will be at her Christening. Hopefully soon we will get together to produce a book of photographs recording that very special first year. People are so very lucky if they happen to stumble upon Laura as I did. You know, ultimately, that you are going to have great photos but more importantly you very quickly realise that the photographer herself is just such a lovely person who puts you at ease, makes you laugh and makes you cry (but only in a good way!!!). You only have to look at just how beautifully turned out and mature her three daughters are to realise what sort of woman Laura Eperjesi is (and hubbie too!!). If Gracie turns out to be half as lovely as those three I’m a very lucky mummy! What more can I say... With much love Laura, Helen and Gracie, xx

September 30, 2010 - 11:31 am Laura - Yes had to sneak one in of mum! Cake looked amazing.......well done.

September 29, 2010 - 10:41 pm Rebecca nicholson - Fabulous photos truly capturing a fabulous first birthday party! Grace looks stunning and you even managed to sneak a picture or two of Mum! My little rotter's almost 1 now - I'll be getting in touch soon Laura! X

Hats off to Grace

Grace is a very special client of mine as I have had the pleasure of photographing her at regular intervals throughout her first year. I have watched her blossom into a very happy, confident little girl. I am really looking forward to making her year book. Although I think its going to have to be a very thick one! I would quite often bump into Grace and Helen, whilst shopping and noticed that Grace had a beautiful collection of hats. Perfect for our next photo shoot! Always a pleasure to photograph. looking forward to the christening.

Baby Oliver

I have been lucky enough to photograph James since he was a few weeks old. I was delighted to be asked back to meet his baby brother Oliver. We had planned to do a pregnancy shot but Oliver decided to come into the world a little earlier than expected ! Not only was there a new baby brother but a baby cousin too, who had come all the way from Australia. Such a long way for someone so young. I still haven’t been.! The boys were in great form and it was lovely to get them all together. James still enjoys squirting his water pistol in the garden. I don’t think its something you grow out of.

50th Wedding Anniversary

I went along to the Queens Hotel in Cheltenham to photograph the 50th wedding anniversary of Peggy and David. We were blessed with the sunny weather. It was lovely to see all three generations together (a rare event nowadays). Peggy and David are a lovely couple……an inspiration to us all. When I asked what their secret was to a long and happy marriage , the answer was …” a good sense of humour”. I think you can tell from the photos.

Mr and Mrs Tierney

Firstly I must apologize for the lack of blogs but I am on holiday until mid August. Back in the land of paprika, hot spas, salami and best of all lake Balaton.  Despite this I did manage to pop back and photograph Fiona and Richard’s delightful wedding. It was a very happy and relaxed day ( most chilled out wedding I have ever photographed ). The stole the show with their readings, witty speeches and  musical performances. I am looking forward to showing you all the photos but here are a few to keep you going. A few more than usual, as I feel guilty that I am on holiday! Hope you had a great break away.

Fiona and Richard

I was delighted to be asked to photograph Fiona and Richard’s wedding this July. They thought they wouldn’t be doing the ‘wedding thing’ again but you all know my moto……Never say Never! I am so looking forward to it as the will be very much apart of the special occasion. I went to meet all the at their home in Wilersey. The girls were very and very gorgeous! I love the one of Georgina and the her cat. I’ve put far too many on the blog but i just can’t choose. The happy couple!

June 22, 2010 - 8:30 pm Laura - I know .....lovely family can't wait for the wedding! x

June 22, 2010 - 4:09 pm Elaine Steinberg - Absolutely stunning stunning stunning pictures !!!!!! I know you have such fabulous individuals to work with i.e. all stuning looking individuals but you have totally captured the love and family bond in these photos luv them CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!

The Grandchildren

The main aim of this session was to get a shot of all the grandchildren together. Katy was the youngest and at first didn’t want to comply but gradually with lots of distraction, encouragement and patience she fitted in nicely. Then they were all set free to do their own thing. I love the shots of Alice, she’s a beauty with striking eyes. Teenagers don’t know how gorgeous they are. We had lots of bright sunshine, which can be a nightmare for me but great for our spirits. The boys enjoyed playing with the rocket launcher and making lots of bubbles. Looking forward to making up your books.

Sweet 16

Well I nearly fell off my chair when my 16 year old daughter Emilie asked me to photograph her with her friends for her 16th . I was so surprised as I (as her unbiased mother ) thinks she’s a stunning beauty and would love to photograph her more but seem to get the hand in front of the lens treatment lately! So not only do I have a gorgeous girl but it seems all of her friends are too. They were all good fun and up for anything. Jo I hope you like the wallpaper? Some were more camera shy than others but I got them to practise their facebook pout. Here are just a small selection of the shoot. Emilie had a great time as I know how important her friends are to her (more than revision!). Good luck with the GCSE’S girls and good luck too if you are moving on to a new school.Emilie is going to miss you .x

Jacki Rodikis

My life as a photographer is incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. I love the people I meet and get a unique glimpse into their lives. Sometimes I feel honoured to be asked to capture peoples lives. This next client I have photographed on a few occasions with her . However this was this was one of those moments where I felt truly honoured. I was asked to photograph the launch of her first book ‘ Because you’re a Woman’. It is the true, honest story of her tragic life and how she overcomes the terrible abuse inflicted upon her. Very easy to read . I know it sounds like a cliche but I swear I could not put this book down.

June 15, 2010 - 9:29 pm Jacki Rodikis - Laura has photographed me, my children and grandchildren on several occasions in the past few years and I have always been delighted with the results. Her knack of picking the right moment to take a picture is amazing. So it was no difficult decision to ask her to photograph one of the most important days in my life - the launch party for my book 'Because you're a Woman'. And once again she came up trumps. The resulting set of pictures will be a wonderful lifelong reminder of this very special day.
