family photographer gloucestershire

As a family photographer in gloucestershire (and further a field) . It is lovely when I have a photo shoot in my own home/studio. Christmas would not be the same with out a visit from the Hambling family. I am delighted that their family is expanding. Grace is such a pleasure to photograph, she has become a wonderful, caring big sister which was amazing to capture. Monty has such a smiley face and Grace’s tooth fell out the day before the photo shoot.(there was visit from the tooth fairy!) We had a mixture of gappy smiles and closed mouths! A pleasure to see you all again . Happy Christmas.xx

I went to photograph Grace’s birthday party but unfortunately she had chicken pox. It seemed a little cruel to only have photos of her covered in spots. Therefore, we did a mini photo shoot once her skin had returned to its beautiful, natural state. As a child photographer I am used to these mini hiccups but always find a way round it. I think we should be vaccinated against the pox just like they do in the States. I have had the luxury of photographing Grace on a regular basis so she is very familiar with me and relaxed in front of the camera. I am loving my new chair……..or my throne as they call it in my house! Not that I get a chance to sit on it!

Bedtime was my favourite time of day when my kids were little. Not just because it meant I had time to myself but I found it such a special intimate time of day. Therefore I was delighted to be asked to photograph Grace as she shared her bedtime routine with me. We did the usual stuff, teatime, story time, bath time, tantrums and finally bedtime! I love it when they nod off to sleep. It almost makes you want to wake them up and start it all over again. Well ……maybe not. Not once you pour that first deserved glass of wine! Looking forward to showing you the book and seeing you soon. x

I have been photographing this family for a few years now, so I was delighted to be asked back again to have more fun and games. Ethan had just had a sand pit for his birthday and the novelty was still fresh. I loved watching these boys together and really capturing the relationship they already share. They were most happy in the bath and didn’t really care what time of day it was. I think they could have stayed in all day if it was up to them! Can’t wait to show you your book. Here are some of my favourites although I have loads more. x
