montpellier chapter house

It was Bella’s first birthday party at the very swanky in . A fabulous venue for a children’s party as there is lots of space for the toddlers to run around. The staff were very pleasant and the nibbles were perfect. Bella looked very gorgeous in her spotted dress which complimented the ladybird theme. We couldn’t loose her as she squeaked her way around the restaurant (squeaky shoes) much to her delight. Happy Birthday Bella. xx

family photography cheltenham

The last time I photographed this family I remember dressing them up in Xmas costumes much to Tayte’s disapproval! Don’t think he was scarred for life ? It was lovely to return back to their family home and see all the changes that they had made. Especially all the photos in white frames in the hallway. I am inspired! We had fun playing in the house. Poppy enjoys snap and dressing up and Tayte enjoys his train set and hide and seek, although there was a little cheating in the ‘no peeking whilst counting to 10′ bit! We then braved the weather and the kids enjoyed scooting along on the Honeybourne Way. I love the shots of Tayte on the ‘naughty step’ looking slightly disgruntled and then ever so slightly bored! I loved the years of the ‘naughty step’……….everything seemed so easy then. Just wait until the teenage years. x

family photographer gloucestershire

As a in gloucestershire (and further a field) . It is lovely when I have a photo shoot in my own home/studio. Christmas would not be the same with out a visit from the Hambling family. I am delighted that their family is expanding. Grace is such a pleasure to photograph, she has become a wonderful, caring big sister which was amazing to capture. Monty has such a smiley face and Grace’s tooth fell out the day before the photo shoot.(there was visit from the tooth fairy!) We had a mixture of gappy smiles and closed mouths! A pleasure to see you all again . Happy Christmas.xx

December 13, 2011 - 3:56 pm Laura - Thank you so much. Kind words indeed. Means a lot to me and I always enjoy your visits.x

December 13, 2011 - 12:54 pm Sarah-Jayne Hambling - Thank you so much Laura, you simply are the BEST at what you do, you always capture something special behind your lens, we love our visits with you. With love and many thanks The hamblings

I adore as there are so many different stages and moments to capture especially in the first year. This was the second (and a half) time I have photographed this beautiful boy Orlando. He is blessed with beautiful skin and very dark hair. This time I got to spend more time with daddy. As he was the chief rocker in order to get Orlando off to sleep I couldn’t resist the jeans shot with the tiny feet poking out. All done with natural light and in the comfort of your own home! After we dressed him up in his christening gown for a few shots we introduced him to the mirrors. I love the family shot of them in the mirror very natural and unaware of the camera. Orlando was a pleasure to photograph. The dog was very well behaved too!

family photography gloucestershire

As a family portrait photographer in Gloucstershire and London I am always at the ready with my camera on the fastest possible shutter speed as working with kids and dogs can be very unpredictable. It was a year ago that I photographed this family and it was lovely to catch up with them again. Jacob was the one that had changed the most. Beautiful big brown eyes and blond hair but that same cheeky smile. Zoe is a very loving, kind sister that just adores her little brother. As I went there in the morning they still had their PJ’s on and had fun romping around on the bed. After a quick bath we headed off to the park. Where the kids enjoyed the usual slides, climbing frames and things that whizz you round! Meanwhile Chloe the dog spotted an opportunity with the lunch box and runs for it. Fortunately it was all caught on camera and made for an entertaining trip to the park. x

Glamour Photography Gloucesershire

I was delighted to be asked to photograph Blink at Blushes in Montpellier . Not only are the girls very photogenic but the  salon is very gorgeous too. It feels warm and cosy and yet glamourous and fun. Just like the girls! A lovely bunch of girls that seem to get on really well. It felt a little bit like having school photos done so we livened things up a bit to be more relaxed! The way I prefer to work. As I was off to London for a posh do I had a little spucing up myself and the girls did a great job. I am loving my lashes and nails and I wish I could have a facial like that every week! Thanks girls.x

children’s party photography gloucestershire

I went to photograph Madison’s joint 6th birthday party a few weeks ago. The boys were a little outnumbered by lots of girls in princess dresses and tiaras. However, it didn’t stop them from joining in on the dance floor. As a family portrait photographer I love to watch how the kids interact. Madison was having a fabulous time and danced her socks off. She was very keen to be chosen in the funny face and best dancer competition so she placed herself right under the judge’s nose. Excellent……worked a treat! My is all about the light and this did push my skills to the limit as the curtains were closed but I loved the effect of the disco lights. Happy Birthday Madison. x

November 29, 2011 - 9:54 pm Kerry - Wow - these photos brought a tear to my eye! Stunning photography. Madison is adorable Marcus & Rachel. Kerry x

November 29, 2011 - 9:27 pm Libby marchant - very beautiful pictures. I second marcus's opinions. I must see if I can get over to see the rest. x

November 29, 2011 - 2:46 pm Marcus - Amazing photos as ever sis - thank you so much for them! I love the effects the disco lights achieve - sheer brilliance! :-) You always seem to capture Madison's naturally beautiful smile like i can never do - your eye is second to none. Thank you so much xx

November 29, 2011 - 1:09 pm Rachel Eperjesi - Love them, love them, love them, as always. Thank you so much. I know my kids are gorgeous, but you always manage to capture that in them so well. Can thoroughly recommend Laura, and such a lovely way to keep a record of the birthdays - they go by so fast.

Child Photographer Gloucestershire and London

I went to photograph Grace’s birthday party but unfortunately she had chicken pox. It seemed a little cruel to only have photos of her covered in spots. Therefore, we did a mini photo shoot once her skin had returned to its beautiful, natural state. As a I am used to these mini hiccups but always find a way round it. I think we should be vaccinated against the pox just like they do in the States. I have had the luxury of photographing Grace on a regular basis so she is very familiar with me and relaxed in front of the camera. I am loving my new chair……..or my throne as they call it in my house! Not that I get a chance to sit on it!

newborn photography Gloucestershire and London

I was delighted when I got the call from Kelly and Olly to announce that they were expecting! I was very lucky to have photographed their wedding a couple of years ago. It is an honour now to share the next exciting chapter in their lives. Elizabella is simply divine and beautifully behaved for her first photoshoot at seven days old. I love the one that looks like she’s an angel with wings! Congratulations to you both. She’s a little peach.

As a I am lucky to get out and enjoy the countryside with my clients. Especially if horse riding is one of their hobbies although it is a good work out for me too running along the fields with my heavy camera and lenses. This was my second shoot with the Barr family and fortunately rain did not stop us from getting out. I was very impressed with Mia’s jumping. I am looking forward to putting it all together in your book. Here are some of my favourites……
