Cheeky James

I have had the pleasure of photographing James since he was a little baby. This is one of the best bits about my job, I get to see my babies growing up! James still has those same gorgeous eyes that I am drawn to. Although he has now developed a love of expensive fast cars! (fortunately not too fast at the moment). However, give him a squirty bottle of water and he could play for hours. We had great fun dodging the bursts of water in the garden and then took a trip to the park. Daddy decided to join us as we were having so much fun. Looking forward to meeting James’s brother or sister next year !

This is one of my favourite shots. James teething at 9 months.

The Stirling Lee Family

A good friend of mine asked me to donate a photoshoot for their Village Fair. The Lucky winners were the Stirling Lee family. Actually I felt as if I had one them as they were a joy to photograph and the whole family were up for anything. Two very sporty girls (Emma and Katie) who loved netball and football, even if it was raining! They came up with some great ideas and I am delighted with the results. As it is Literature festival week we shall commence with the love of Michael Morpurgo. My Kids love him too ! stirling-lee-09stirling-lee-27stirling-lee-01stirling-lee-20stirling-lee-17

Lexi and Finn

It was lovely to meet up with Finn and Lexi again as I last photographed them when Finn was just a baby. That’s the best thing about my job, I get to see my clients growing up! I spent a morning at their home playing around in the garden (as again we were spoilt with good weather!) and taking the dog Izzy for a walk. Although Izzy was a little reluctant to start with she soon enjoyed her walkies. I love the shot of Lexi walking her with the lead. Something about it just says ‘carefree childhood’. I was very impressed that both Lexi and Finn managed to keep a secret about the photoshoot as it was a birthday present for Daddy . I made up a book of all the photos for their Dad’s Birthday. Happy Birthday !finn-lexi-071

Jemma and Paul’s wedding

On the theme of weddings, I was assisting Huelwen at Jemma and Paul’s wedding in Newport. Well I have to say I loved the role of second photographer (much less stressful! ). I was able to people watch and catch lovely moments like the two girls playing in Jemma’s veil. It was a sunny day and the setting was gorgeous. The house was very grand and led to some atmospheric shots. I managed to get a sneaky shot of Bride and Groom having a quiet moment by the window (or so they thought!). Love it! Kelly and Ollie

Well what a fantastic day and what a beautiful bride! I really enjoyed helping Kelly get ready for her big day and calming her nerves. There was a spectacular fly by, by the Red Arrows. Prompt and Fast! Our cameras were ready ( well done Huelwen ). The setting was amazing and the weather was perfect. Ollie managed to open the champagne with his sword. Not something I would recommend you try at home. The day ended with 100 lanterns released into the night sky. Perfect! Kelly your photo is being framed as I write…………..I have so many favourites but here are just a few.kelly-ollie-wed-05kelly-ollie-wed-04kelly-ollie-wed-29kelly-ollie-wed-21kelly-ollie-wed-42kelly-ollie-wed-51kelly-ollie-05kelly-ollie-12kelly-ollie-57kelly-ollie-76kelly-ollie-27kelly-ollie-101

The Hatvany Girls

I spent the morning with the very lovely Hatvany girls and their ! After exploring the garden I took Claire, Tessa, Imogen and Tango (the favourite dog) up the hill for a walk. The light was beautiful and the girls were very . I love the one of them walking down the hill with the light in their hair. They look and moved like supermodels ! We all laughed when we made Emilie ( my daughter/assistant ) phone the school for her exam results! Luckily she did well. September 22, 2009 - 5:18 pm Pete Johnson - A very good set of photos -I'd be proud if I'd taken them! I agree that you've caught the girls at their best with very natural and relaxed expressions - it's clear they were enjoying themselves and weren't too self conscious. Well done! Oh and congratulations to Emilie on her successful exams.

Pluto

As we are on the animal theme I thought I’d follow with  Pluto’s photo shoot. Its not just Humans I photograph. I was asked by a friend to photograph her very gorgeous, energetic labrador, Pluto. Who happens to be best friends with Pepper (my not so energetic cocker spaniel). We took them on one of our favourite and found a stunning carpet of bluebells. As you can see they loved the water . Hope you are enjoying your book!pluto-21pluto-3pluto-1pluto-07

Vets on The Park

I’m afraid its feast and famine when it comes to my blog at the moment. So much going on….can hardly keep up. So apologies if the next few blogs are not in order. There may be a little queue jumping!

I spent a day at ‘ on The park’ and photographed a typical day. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was touched by the caring attitude of all that worked there. There was a real variety of  and their owners! Such a lovely homely feel to the place. My dog loves going there even if its for an operation! Ellie and Louis

lisa-191
Oh my blogs are getting longer and longer. I have just got so many photos that I want to share with you ! This was a real treat as not only did I get to photograph Ellie and Louis with their (hamster and Jelly the Dog ) but we took Ellie out on Tango the pony. She loves riding and is obviously very comfortable with Tango.( Unlike me and nervous mum! ) . Ellie has the most amazing long hair  that I wanted to capture it all its glory . Louis’s hair was the complete opposite, blonde and still has those baby curls. Love it.  The kids ended up in the pool….perfect! Please feel free to leave a comment. lisa-21lisa-12lisa-16lisa-30
