Amazing Grace !

Oh I do love photographing newborn babes! Such a special time, especially when its your first. I know its a cliche but it goes all too fast. Before you know it, they’re chewing on drumsticks and being measured for their first pair of shoes. Luckily I got to photograph Grace when she was just 3 weeks old. It was a lovely intimate photoshoot and Helen (the mum) and I took our time admiring little Grace and the wonder of life!  We waited patiently for that magic moment when they drop off into a true deep sleep. Here are a few of my favourites……enjoy.Xbaby grace 27baby grace 17baby grace 22baby grace 24baby grace 32baby grace 29baby grace 51baby grace 02

Kaloo Family

What a treat to photograph such beautiful girls. Having three girls myself it felt like yesterday that they were the same age. It was a very exciting time in the Kaloo family, with the arrival of a new baby sister, Anna. I loved the way Pippy and Emily  interacted with their new sister. However that’s all very good and well. There were more important things to do ….like licking the bowl from the chocolate muffins mixture. The best bit!  Girls after my own heart. One of my favourite shots is this first one. So pure and simple. I’m delighted the parents agree.

Cheeky James

I have had the pleasure of photographing James since he was a little baby. This is one of the best bits about my job, I get to see my babies growing up! James still has those same gorgeous eyes that I am drawn to. Although he has now developed a love of expensive fast cars! (fortunately not too fast at the moment). However, give him a squirty bottle of water and he could play for hours. We had great fun dodging the bursts of water in the garden and then took a trip to the park. Daddy decided to join us as we were having so much fun. Looking forward to meeting James’s brother or sister next year !

This is one of my favourite shots. James teething at 9 months.

The Stirling Lee Family

A good friend of mine asked me to donate a photoshoot for their Village Fair. The Lucky winners were the Stirling Lee family. Actually I felt as if I had one them as they were a joy to photograph and the whole family were up for anything. Two very sporty girls (Emma and Katie) who loved netball and football, even if it was raining! They came up with some great ideas and I am delighted with the results. As it is Literature festival week we shall commence with the love of Michael Morpurgo. My Kids love him too ! stirling-lee-09stirling-lee-27stirling-lee-01stirling-lee-20stirling-lee-17

Lexi and Finn

It was lovely to meet up with Finn and Lexi again as I last photographed them when Finn was just a baby. That’s the best thing about my job, I get to see my clients growing up! I spent a morning at their home playing around in the garden (as again we were spoilt with good weather!) and taking the dog Izzy for a walk. Although Izzy was a little reluctant to start with she soon enjoyed her walkies. I love the shot of Lexi walking her with the lead. Something about it just says ‘carefree childhood’. I was very impressed that both Lexi and Finn managed to keep a secret about the photoshoot as it was a birthday present for Daddy . I made up a book of all the photos for their Dad’s Birthday. Happy Birthday !finn-lexi-071

Jemma and Paul’s wedding

On the theme of weddings, I was assisting Huelwen at Jemma and Paul’s wedding in Newport. Well I have to say I loved the role of second photographer (much less stressful! ). I was able to people watch and catch lovely moments like the two girls playing in Jemma’s veil. It was a sunny day and the setting was gorgeous. The house was very grand and led to some atmospheric shots. I managed to get a sneaky shot of Bride and Groom having a quiet moment by the window (or so they thought!). Love it!
